July 4th

July 4th was not great in DC this year.  It rained all day, Joe worked most of the day, and we ended up in urgent care because Oliver had a bad ear infection.  Fortunately, we had a last minute cookout with some of our neighbors on the Saturday before and even pulled out the sparklers for the kids.  Oliver's ear is now on the mend so all is well.
