A Happy Saturday

Joe and Oliver let me sleep in this morning.  I woke around 8:00 (feeling refreshed) to find a happy Oliver finishing his breakfast.  Even though the home inspector we hired was coming around 9:00, Oliver and I were in no hurry to get out of our PJs.  We played, painted the bird house he picked out last week, read some books, chatted during snack time, visited with "the inspector man", and sat in the rocker reading more books before he fell asleep for his nap.  After his nap, we headed to a barbecue.  It was a 45 minute drive, so when we were getting ready to leave, Oliver told us he did not want to get into the car again and he needed to "go for a walk outside."  So we took a stroll around the block, which he was thrilled about, and he happily chatted the whole time.  We got home and took a bath followed by a couple more books in the rocker and bed.  It was a happy Saturday.

Oliver picked out this "wood bird house" during our last garden supply run.  We decided to paint it, but I still have not decided where we will hang it exactly.
My little artist.
The bird house also made a nice barn.
Walking and talking.
Happy to be outside.
Watching the sunset.
